06/06/2007 - Milwaukee, WI (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Chicago Cubs placed pitcher Angel Guzman on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday because of a strained right elbow.

Guzman is 0-1 with a 3.56 ERA in 12 games this season. He has not appeared for Chicago since June 1 when he tossed two scoreless innings.

To replace Guzman, the Cubs selected right-hander Sean Gallagher from Double-A Tennessee. To make room on the 40-man roster for Gallagher, Chicago transferred pitcher Roberto Novoa to the 60-day disabled list.

Gallagher owns a minor-league record of 33-14, going 7-2 with a 3.39 ERA in 11 starts this season at Tennessee.
